Runa's Reis
Written and illustrated by Jopie Louwe Kooijmans.

This is my own little nudger; a children's book! I've been working on the story and the characters since I was 13, and I want it to be perfect. Officially seen, this is a school project (though it's just an excuse to be able to finish it, hehe).

The story tells (in short) about Runa, a witch living in the Great Witch Woods. One day she awakes, and she gets posessed with wanderlust. She decides to make a trip on her broomstick. She flies all over the land, untill she gets by the sea. She's curious what's behind it, and starts flying over it. Unfortunately, she gets trapped in a storm, and strands on a deserted island. She is cold, wet and hungry! What can she do? A few hours later she spots white sails on the horizon. A ship! The ship strands on the island, and a pirate is stepping out of it. He introduces himself as Naus. They make a little fire in the evening and have a very nice time. In the morning, Naus takes her back home.

I'm currently in the middle of illustrating it, and I'm not illustrating it chronologically,
but here is a little preview of what the book is going to look like.
I've put them (so far) in the right order, but there are still a few paintings missing here and there.
